Weekend Tour...

February 6, 2007 - 1:05 PM
Wisconsin Dells. What a place to have a Catholic Youth Rally. That's right the famous tourist destination of Wisconsin Dells hosted the 8th annual youth retreat for the Madison Dioceses young Catholics. Think that is cool; that's nothing yet as the famous Jesse Manibusan was the keynote speaker for the retreat! What an experience it was to hear him tell humorous stories, hilarious jokes, and uplifting songs. But most importantly was the opportunity to listen to him talk about his faith. To sum it all up, "Jesse is one cool cat." Our aspect of the retreat was focused on praise and worship music. We were selected to lead the youth in a "breakout session" on singing and dancing for God. All the kids were amazing, each with his or her extraordinary personality. In addition to the work we did during the retreat, we did allow ourselves some R&R. The indoor water park at the Chula Vista resort was exactly the remedy we all needed after a long tour. That concludes our tour in Wisconsin Dells but it's far from over. The very next day, we were singing all the masses at St. Raphael's Cathedral in Dubuque, IA. We arrive in Dubuque very late and with just a few hours of sleep; somehow all of us still had the spirit to perform all the masses for the day. St. Raphael's was gorgeous and we look forward to returning in the future. Finally the last of the equipment is loaded and we head back to Iowa City. Our next stop is in the hometown of Charles in Maquoketa, IA. With all our peace and love, God Bless! ~Leap of Faith

Ceili Rain

February 1, 2007 - 11:34 PM
Lights! Camera! Music! Now that was a fun time. Have you ever seen a glow-in-the-dark drum solo? This past Wednesday night we had a great time opening for an awesome group called Ceili Rain. Starting it all off with Stevie's sweet pitch-black, glow-in-the-dark drum solo, leading into our latest original, written just last week, "I Am Here". We played some of our favorite songs for a great crowd of about 700+ people. Now, we're back home for a short 2 day break before hitting the road again on the way to Wisconsin Dells. Thank you all for stopping in and we hope to see you soon. Love and God Bless, Chuck, Alicia, Karl, and "The Pink Drummer Boy" aka-Stevie
