Our Lady of Victory! What a Great Place!

March 23, 2007 - 11:45 PM

pan>            First times are always pleasant  The first day of school, the first perfect score on a test, the first time you see your child born into this world…the first time you fall in love  Which is exactly what happened to us this past Wednesday; we fell in love with the community and youth at Our Lady of Victory in Davenport, IA; our first visit to the area  We were welcomed warmly into a large center full of people ready to praise with us  It’s always great when the crowd is energetic and full of spirit!

St. Mary's Youth Group

March 10, 2007 - 12:31 AM
What a fun night!  We had a blast playing some great Praise and Worship tunes for the Solon St. Mary's Youth Group!  We started the concert at about 6:30 and lost track of time playing till almost 8!  The kids were awesome and looked as if they were having a great time.  We can only hope we were able to touch but one person!  We want to give a shout out to Adam, who helped in packing up. Thanks Adam!  Also, we can't forget to give a big thanks to Tricia Sovers for inviting us and letting us play for the youth.  It was a great night!  You Solon kids are AWESOME!!  God Bless you all!  -Love, Chuck, Alicia, Karl, and The Pink Drummer Boy

St. Mary's Confirmation!!

March 5, 2007 - 10:58 PM
What a great night! Praising God with the Confirmation Class of St. Mary's Parish was amazing. Not only were the students filled with lively spirit, we had 3 wonderful musicians from the Confirmation Class join us. Interesting enough, we learned quite a bit about our own faith through the study of the Liturgy, the Eucharist, and the mass itself with the students. It's amazing what we don't even realize what we celebrate in the mass, until we truly study the meaning behind it all during Confirmation. Once again, it was a great evening filled with high energy and great spirit! God Bless You All!! ~Alicia, Karl, Chuck, and the "Pink Drummer Boy"

St. Joseph's - De Witt

March 2, 2007 - 11:22 AM
A very special thank you to all those who sang and praised with us at St. Joesph’s in DeWitt, IA on Wednesday! We had a 3 concert day which was full of dancing and singing and jumping jacks for Jesus. The day got off to a blast with a concert for the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders of St. Joseph’s Catholic School. The kids definitely enjoyed the afternoon out of the classroom and their excitement during the concert showed it. In the evening we had a concert with the confirmation class who also didn’t disappoint in their excitement for praising God. Finally, we capped off the day with a concert for the high school youth group. The high school group at DeWitt are very special. They had a lot of energy and it was easy for us make the event special for them. A special shoutout to Jon Snyder of DeWitt, the only senior at the concert. He helped tear down the equipment after the show, and we greatly appreciated his help. He’s going to Iowa State, and we wish him the best of luck as he
continues his path in life, and his path in faith. Thanks again to St. Joseph’s for inviting us!
