Special Prayers to Flood Victims

June 30, 2008 - 3:08 PM

As most of you know, hundreds of thousands of Iowans and fellow midwesterns have fallen victim to terrible flooding throughout central and eastern Iowa.  This ministry is based out of Iowa City and we have seen first hand the devistation that this flood has dealt.  We thank the Lord that none of our ministry members were effected by the flooding.  At the same time, we want any of the flood victims that find our website to know that we are keeping you in our prayers.  It can be very easy to turn away from God at a time like this.  What you need to do, and what can be the hardest thing to do, is to turn towards Him.  God loves all of us and wants nothing more that to accept us into his kingdom.  All of the victims will be in our prayers and we of Leap of Faith will be doing whatever we can to help those that have been affected by this disaster.  If you have any personal prayer requests, you can send them to newsletter@leapoffaithonline.com.

God Bless!

St. Joseph's Preston Celebrates 25 years!

June 30, 2008 - 2:55 PM

We of Leap of Faith were very honored to be invited to Preston, IA to help the parishoners of St. Joseph's Parish celebrate the 25th anniversary of their church building. We lead the music litergy during the Saturday evening mass. It was very interesting learning about the building's history as well as how impressive of a building it was and still is for its time. After a fantastic dinner, we let the rafters of the building ring with music as we praised His name with some dancing and singing. Thanks again to St. Joseph's for inviting us for such an honored occasion. Here's to the next 25 years!!

On a side note: Happy Birthday to Karl! He turned 23 on June 29th.

Sibley Sweet!

June 8, 2008 - 10:23 PM

It was a long drive from Iowa City all the way up to Sibley, IA.  We started out early and several gallons of gas and cans of Red Bull later, we arrived.  Karl's Aunt Luci was the primary reason for getting the invite and she was there to greet us at the high school.  Thank you so much to everyone that attended. We all had warm hearts from all the compliments we received!  This concert marked the first official concert with our new bass player Matthew Ronnfedlt.  He did a fantastic job.  We're so happy to have him and welcome him to our group with open arms.  Thanks Matt!!

Thanks again to everyone that helped out, especially Molly and Luci.  We can't wait to travel to Sibley again!

On a more general note:

We're into summer and we still have tons of room on our calendar!  If you would like to have us come to your church, let your priest or youth minister know and direct them to our website!  You never know, your suggestion might be all it takes!

Have a great summer!
